FeetBack the Shape-changing Floor

Static tactile paving provides haptic cues to pedestrians through physical bumps in the form of raised dots and stripes, which are felt through the shoes indicating sidewalk orientation and intersections. FeetBack is a new form of active tactile paving that changes shape to direct people in public spaces.

This work was presented as a full paper presentation and interactive demonstration at NordiCHI22 in Aarhus, Denmark
